We usually talk about our rubber bands and their different characteristics, uses and features, such as the fact that they are made of natural rubber and are recyclable. In this article, we would like to share with you why we have evolved from Martinsan S.A., as we have been known for more than 40 years, to the current Bandex.
We are an industrial company from Alicante and we are proud to belong to AEFA, the Alicante Family Business Association, whose main objective is to promote the interests of Family Businesses, which act as the driving force behind the productive economy and employment in the province.
Below we offer a series of relevant data that may be unknown to many:

At this point, it is time to talk about us and why Martinsan became Bandex, the image it is known as today.
More than just a change of name.
Martinsan BANDEX S.L. has been a manufacturer for more than 40 years, offering a tailor-made service with the best response. Our production capacity and our guarantee of quality and service, supported by our numerous customers, have positioned us as an industry leader in the sector both nationally and internationally. But… how did we get here?
This family company, like any other that is handed down from generation to generation, has faced numerous challenges. One of them has been the sustainability of the company, which for us means ensuring its continuity in the long term.
In order to continue to exist as what we are, a leading family business in the sector, we had to evolve by adapting to the new challenges of the industry and the sector. We decided to transfer our corporate value proposition (excellence in service, quality and competitive prices of a product made in Spain) to a brand, BANDEX ®, which would position us as a world reference in the manufacture of rings and elastic bands.
It was not just a simple change of name. We are committed to modernising our company by adapting it to new technological and digital challenges and investing in new industrial lines that have been supported by European FEDER funds.
We are incorporating new recycling systems and working in all areas of our value chain to ensure that our industrial activity generates the minimum impact on Nature by reducing our level of waste as much as possible: this is our commitment to move towards Zero Waste.
In other words, we are evolving to be better, for the benefit of our customers and the environment. As Bob Dylan once said, “There is nothing so stable as change”.
